How It All Began

While working out at a local health club Olaf Ross met Richard Henry, a dentist in Ponchatoula, LA, which was the start of a partnership and friendship that brought what is know today as North Cypress Fitness to Hammond. In 1995 the decision was made to start planning a health club for Hammond, but location after location failed to bring the project to fruition. Than in 2001 the first club finally opened by the name of North Cypress Fitness Studio in the historic Downtown Hammond. The award winning facility steadily grew to the point of needing to expand and that is where the new North Cypress Fitness Center came into existence in 2008. Olaf and Richard are still the sole owners of this new multi-award winning fitness resort and are continually planning additions and expansions.
