Sherry Myers, Director of Facility Operations

Sherry Myers is our Director of Facility Operations here at North Cypress. She has been a member of the gym since March 2002 and is honored to be part of the management team.

Sherry, and her husband Mark, have owned and operated a martial arts school here in Hammond since 1996. (the dojo is also owned by her 7yr old daughter Rayna, who would be upset if not mentioned) Sherry is a certified Krav Maga fitness instructor, as well as a children’s self defense instructor at their studio.

Beth Yokum, Fitness Director

Beth has been in the fitness industry teaching group fitness and personal training since 1991. She began fitness management in 1996 and began her career with North Cypress in 2002. Beth has extensive energy and knowledge about all aspects of fitness, which makes her an asset to our facility and members.  Beth oversees the entire fitness department here at North Cypress. She loves everything about fitness and enjoys sharing her passion with others.

Ike Kazan, Executive Chef-Cypress Bistro

The creative force behind Cypress Bistro is Chef Aykut (Ike) Kazan. A native of Turkey, Ike learned first hand many cooking techniques and recipes for delicious healthy cuisine from his mother, who was an excellent cook. She taught him at an early age that selecting only the freshest, high quality ingredients, planning creative menus and relying on a variety of tastes and textures is the key to serving food that pleases the discriminating palate.

Since moving to the United States in the 1970’s, Ike has worked in a variety of food related venues, including fine restaurants in Raleigh, North Carolina and New York City. He has been an owner or partner in several successful restaurants as well, always maintaining a varied menu and excellent service as well as atmosphere that is relaxing and pleasant.

Ike lives in Hammond and also enjoys volunteer activities, including cooking for several annual charity functions and for the “Carol’s by Candlelight” production which his church presents each December. Additionally, Ike is a talented artist and musician, painting acrylics and watercolors and playing the drums when time permits.
 

Rebecca Smalley, Director of Pure Therapeutics

A native of Hammond, Rebecca Bennett Smalley has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since December of 2000 and has been with North Cypress since December of 2001. 

Nicole Solano, Director of Business Relations

Nicole Solano is the Director of Business Relations here at North Cypress Fitness.  She is a 2009 graduate of Delta College in Covington. She loves her massage career and enjoys being a part of a pain relief regimen for her clientele. Nicole is also very excited about  the opportunity that  North Cypress Fitness has brought to her, becoming the Director of Business Relations for a company that has limitless potential will be an exciting experience for her.  "We always go, where we are looking" -Susan L.Belen
